Kayla says
I brush for them until they are about three, then I brush for the first minute and let them do it for the second minute while I supervise.
Sue Lively says
We do the same thing Kayla. I think I’m going to get out the timer to make sure we’re doing it long enough though! Thanks for dropping by! Best, Sue
Bridgett says
Thank you for the giveaway!! We have littles at my inhome daycare and my own children in my home, so that’s a lot of mouths to brush! Resources can definitely help with those that aren’t interested in traditional things to encourage them. If I win the $100 gift card, I will buying each child a new toothbrush! Yay for National Brush Day!!
Sue Lively says
Whew! That IS a lot of teeth to brush! Best of luck with the contest and thanks for dropping by! Best, Sue
Elle says
We always make brushing a fun event with music which makes them happy and want to brush their teeth and take part in oral hygiene. It’s like a dance party.
Sue Lively says
Awesome idea Elle! I think it’s time to get a stereo in the bathroom. Thanks for sharing! Best, Sue
tammigirl says
My tip is just to be there for them, with them, during the times they are going through the routines. This way they don’t feel as if they are missing out on something while accomplishing these tasks.
Sue Lively says
I agree that’s so important tammigirl! I try to brush my teeth at the same time as my son, and that seems to help too. Thanks for dropping by, Sue
Shannon says
We brush our teeth together so that he sees a good example
Sue Lively says
Right there with you Shannon – modelling is so important. Thanks for dropping by! Best, Sue
Lisa says
My daughter actually LOVES to brush her teeth (she always has which we’ve always found strange)…the only problem is she likes to do it herself and she doesn’t do a thorough job always
Sue Lively says
That’s tricky Lisa. Good that she’s independent, but tough when you know how important it is to be thorough. A mixed blessing! Hope it gets easier. Best, Sue
e michelle says

Tanya White says
My trick is routine they have to brush their teeth after breakfast and after dinner, I am always on them about it.
Sue Lively says
That’s another great way of making sure it happens – make it a HABIT! Way to go mama! Thanks for dropping by! Best, Sue
anna pry says
i always let them pick a toothbrush they like so they will be more excited to use it and we brush together
