Welcome to another week of the Love to Learn Linky! This week we are featuring craft projects that kids can make to give to their grandparents for Grandparents Day, or any other day, to show they love and honour these special parents!

14 DIY GIFTS for Grandparents Day - One Time Through

From last week’s Love to Learn Linky, I chose to feature this post from Mom is Forever.  She has 4 really lovely ideas for gifts for grandparents including descriptions for how to make a silhouette gift, a garden plaque, special slippers, and bookmarks.  Be sure to visit their site and read their ideas in more detail!

Happy Grandparents DayMy lovely Linky cohosts also have some terrific gift ideas for Grandparents Day!

Grandparents Day CraftsMake gorgeous Decorated Candles (#1), a special handprint High Five Card(#2) and/or write an I Love You Book (#3) for Grandma and Grandpa from  A Little Pinch of Perfect.

Make a Photo Family Tree(#4) and print off a Mothers Picture Matching activity (#5) to do with Grandma or Grandpa from Totschooling.

Create a DIY Back-Scratcher Kit(#6) and/or paint some Flower Painting Cards(#7) from Left Brain Craft Brain.

We also have some ideas and projects at One Time Through that you might like to do with your little one.

Kidmade Gifts for Grandparents Day - One Time ThroughMake personalized plaques (top left) for Grandma and Grandpa using things from around the house that represent their unique personalities and interests.

Have your child “write” a Letter of Love (centre and bottom left) to each of the grandparents using this easy “fill-in-the-blanks” method with free printables!  Here’s one for Grandmas and one for Grandpas. These posts both have unique ways that kids can decorate picture frames too!

Create a “Nuts and Bolts” picture frame (top right) for handy Grandpas – and make an art piece using the tools for Grandma!

Have your child make a silk Flower Arrangement (right middle) for a centrepiece for grandparents and decorate the container!  We did this one in the spring, but yours could have fall themed flowers and colours.

Did you notice the heart-shaped wordle in the collage above (left middle)?  Have your child brainstorm some words that describe their grandparents.  Then visit www.tagxedo.com , input the words, and create a unique, FREE printable word cloud that can be framed or turned into a special card!

Get your child painting with this easy toilet paper roll technique (bottom center).  Fold a roll into a heart shape, provide paint in a tray and have them print heart shapes to make a picture, or card for grandparents.

Heart Print Cards for Grandparents DayDo some Baking (bottom right) with your child and bring Grandma and Grandpa a surprise treat!  Click on the link to find tips for baking with kids and some fantastic and kid-friendly recipes.

That’s it for this week.  Hope you found a fun idea for Grandparents Day!

I have done the nuts ‘n’ bolts photo frame for Father’s Day. A great little idea! We celebrate ‘Grandparents Day’ at our school next term so I’ll have to pin this for when I need it! 🙂

Onetime had fun with this project. I think he mostly just like playing with Daddy’s “tools!” Thanks for dropping by Lauren! Best, Sue
